Arthur Tolis, former UNO, LSU coach

SLIDELL -- Services for basketball coach and teacher Arthur Tolis will be Friday. He died Friday at age 79.
He was head basketball coach at the University of New Orleans from 1985 to 1989 and also coached at East Carolina, Western Kentucky, LSU, Tennessee -Martin and Alabama. He was a teacher in Jefferson Parish for 12 years and retired in 2008.
He was a US Army veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife Julie, two sons and two daughters.
Services are under direction of Honaker Funeral Home.
