Jean Lafitte Pirates RV Club has weekend campout in Lowry
The Jean Lafitte Pirates RV Club recently enjoyed a weekend campout at Myers RV Campground in Lowry, La.
Those Pirates enjoying the campout were Sonny and Hershal Abshire, Wilbert and Ida Broussard, C.S. and Laudry Darbonne, Lander and Mae Duhon, Royal and Debbie Hebert, Alvin and Wanda Richard, Kenneth and Bertha Thibodeaux, and Bobbie Williams.
Jerry Scalisi was a guest of the Pirates.
January birthday celebrated was Mae Duhon.
January anniversary remembered was Claude and Lana Breaux.
Ida and Wilbert prepared a delicious potato soup for the Pirate’s lunch on Thursday.
Friday and Saturday was dutch treat at Nott’s Restaurant in Lake Arthur.
As usual, the Pirates feasted well all weekend long.
Maybe too well, because Sonny and Royal were observed behaving oddly (even for those two) at the dinner table at Nott’s. It seems they were sitting at opposite ends of the table chatting with each other on cell phones. Now what could those two guys have to say that would be that important?
Even Laudry was acting oddly this weekend. As she left the Clubhouse one evening, someone cautioned her to be careful in the dark and she responded “If you hear me hollering, don’t come running”.
C.S. is still trying to figure out what she meant with that comment.
The next campout for the Pirates will be in Fenton at Quiet Oaks RV Campground.
