LAKE ARTHUR HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL TIGERS WIN OBERLIN TOURNAMENT!
Tigers now undefeated with a record of 4-0
The Lake Arthur High School Baseball Team is pictured celebrating their first place finish in the Oberlin Baseball Tournament held February 27th. The Tigers beat Fairview in their first game by the score of 4-1, as Colby Lavergne was the winning pitcher and Josh Savage hit a three-run homer. In the second game, the Tigers blasted Pickering 9-2 with Taylor McFarland taking the pitching win and Savage hitting a two-run homer. In the championship game, the Tigers won 7-0 as Aaron Bertrand tossed a no-hit shutout with eight strikeouts. Jacob Martin notched two hits in three at bats for the winning Lake Arthur team. The Tigers now have an undefeated 4-0 record which includes a 3-1 win in their first regular season game against South Cameron where pitcher Bertrand was the winning pitcher recording 12 strikeouts in only five innings.
