MARIE ISABELL GUIDRY HALL

Jennings: Funeral services for Marie Isabell Guidry Hall, 93, will be held at Matthews & Son Funeral Home in Jennings, La on Friday, March 12, 2010 @ 10:30 AM with Msgr. Ronald Groth officiating. Mrs. Hall was called to her Heavenly Father Monday evening from Camelot Place Nursing Home.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, March 11th from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM and will resume on Friday, March 12th at 8:00 AM until the time of her services.

A rosary will be recited on Thursday evening at 7:00 PM. Mrs. Hall will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, Gilford, in Andrus Cove Cemetery.

Marie Isabell was born in Lake Arthur, La. to the late Arthur & Leah Cormier Guidry in March of 1916. She was a graduate of Lake Arthur High School class of 1934. She was a retired nurse. Marie loved taking care of people and it truly showed in her wonderful bedside manner. She spent countless hours caring for the sick and needy. She was a kind and gentle woman and will be greatly missed by everyone for whom she has touched their lives.

Mrs. Hall is survived by her beloved daughter, Dorothy "Dottie" Meaux and her husband, Harvey of Rayne; two grandsons, Steven (Diane) Meaux also of Rayne & James (Rebecca) Meaux of Quitman, MS; two granddaughters, Katharine (David) Miller of Lafolette, TN & Jennifer (Terry) Fuselier of Morse; her 11 beautiful great grandchildren, Shelby, Zachary, P.J., Nicolette, Christian, Logan, Garrett, Tyler, Marshall, McKayla, & Zachary; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gilford J. Hall; brothers, Homer, Joe, Authur, Shelby & Ambrose; sisters, Edith, Ella, Amelia, Pauline, & Eula.

In leiu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Louisiana Hospice & Palliative Care of Jennings.
