BRISKET PO BOY SALE: The Catholic Daughter Court Father Charles Kirk #1573 of Lake Arthur will hold a Brisket Po Boy Sale at the Knights of Columbus Hall on Main Street at 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday, February 1, 2009, “Super Bowl Sunday.” Tickets may be purchased by contacting Lisa Oustalet at 774-5235 or Delta Giles at 774-5154. Several honor graduates were recognized during the McNeese State University Fall Commencement Ceremonies held Saturday, December 13, 2008 at Burton Coliseum.
They are designated as Summa Cum Laude (3.90-4.00), Magna Cum Laude (3.70-3.89) and Cum Laude (3.50-3.69).
Area honor students recognized were:

Dr. Jeanne Daboval, provost and vice president for academic affairs at McNeese State University, conferred degrees on 785 graduates at the university’s fall commencement at 10 a.m. Saturday, December 13, 2008 at Burton Coliseum in Lake Charles. Some of the local graduates were:
