They said this about Christmas...
Editor’s note: Here are a few quotes about Christmas time that might bring a smile to your face this coming December 25th.
--The one thing women don’t want to find in their stockings on Christmas morning is their husband. --Joan Rivers
--There is a remarkable breakdown of taste and intelligence at Christmas time. Mature, responsible grown men wear neckties made of holly leaves and drink alcoholic beverages with raw egg yolks and cottage cheese in them. --P.J. O’Rourke
A column for the young this Christmas
Editor's note: Each Christmas, I enjoy reading Francis P. Church's 1897 editorial to little Virginia O'Hanlon that ran in the New York Sun newspaper. It’s a column that every young child should hear this time of year.
Dear Editor:
I am eight-years-old. Some of my little friends say there is no Santa Claus. Papa says, “If you see it in The Sun, it’s so.” Please tell me the truth, is there a Santa Claus?
Virginia O’Hanlon

Stupid criminals are still on the loose...
Editor’s note: The only thing better than apprehending a criminal is catching one who’s stupid. Here are a few of the latest who have made the news.
--South Carolina: A man walked into a police station, dropped a bag of cocaine on the counter, informed the sergeant that it was substandard, and asked that the person who sold it to him be arrested immediately. He was immediately arrested, instead.
Leftist liberals say the darnedest things...

It’s pretty hard to find conservatives who make their living in Hollywood these days. Kelsey Grammar, Tom Selleck, Robert Duvall, and Chuck Norris come to mind, but there aren’t many more. Finding conservatives in Tinseltown is like finding that proverbial “needle in a haystack.”
And if you listen to the celebrities from the left, you’ll soon get the impression that they think they're much smarter than you are. I guess that’s why I don’t care for too many...at least those who pride themselves as being “progressive” and “liberal.”
